The Nine patch block is our block for day nine and we are going to make itusing two contrasting fabrics.

For this block, we are using 41/2″ squares.

Cut 5 dark, four light (9 in total) The nine ‘patches’ are what gives the block it’s name.

Arrange the blocks as shown, with the dark and light alternating. Dark blocks in the corners and centre

Stitch together the rows using 1/4″ seam allowance, press

Join the rows together, press

Trim to size if necessary
