With Easter just round the corner, I thought I would make a Squeezy Pouch to hold either Mini Chocolate Eggs or, perhaps, Ear Buds for the Phone.

Requirements:

3 x Leaf shaped card shapes

3 x Fabric for outside

3 x Fabric for lining

Length of Coloured Ribbon

I made the leaf shape out of stiff cardboard – approximately 4.5inches in height and 2inches across the middle and drew round it on the Inside of the Outer fabrics

First sew 1 of the Outside Fabric pieces  to 1 piece of the Lining (fronts together), following the drawn line.  You need to leave a gap between the start and finish of the stitching so you can turn the piece inside out and to put one of the pieces of card inside.  Then folding the edges over, slipstich the opening closed.

 Repeat with all three pieces.

Now take two of the sewn pieces and slipstich along one side (see photo).  When this is done, attach the remaining side in the same way.  Make sure the top and bottom is secure.  Leaving one side unstitched.

I then decorated the edges with ribbon and attached a loop at one end to hang the Easter Egg.

When you squeeze the top and bottom together the opening gapes and you can place your Chocs (or little present) inside.

Thank you for your kind comments Amy, Hope you hav fun making the Pouch. You can vary the size of the pouches, I have a very small one I made to hold my treasured Thimble that my \GGm gave me when I was a baby….
