Makower have launched yet another fantastic fabric range called Spring.

Makower were good enough to send samples of this latest fabric range to UKQU, and the wonderful people at UKQU sent some to me to review.

One of their latest ranges called Spring, consists of 20 fabrics plus a panel.  I received a sample of the 20 fabrics, and they are scrumptious. This range is bursting with colour, there’s lots of Spring flowers, tulips, narcissus and daffodils, and daisies.  There’s rabbits for Easter, cute sheep, and even Easter eggs can be found in one of the designs.

I have taken lots of photographs of the fabric to share with you, as I think you really need to see the detail.

I looked at them, wondering what I could make to do them justice.  After deliberating I decided it would be best not to cut most of them!  So I dug in my stash for some off white for sashing, and decided which smaller prints in the range I could cut cornerstones from.

The fabric cuts well, which is what you would expect from top quality fabric.  The fabric stood up to being unpicked and resewn, and did not fray at all.  I don’t know about you but whenever I’m sewing the unpick is usually involved!

There was only one of the fabrics I didn’t use and that was the wavy stripe, I’d like to buy some of this to make binding, doesn’t stripey binding look fabulous?

I can see this range being used for little girls dresses, your Easter makes, your quilts and bags, and I’m sure you can come up with many more wonderful ideas. And there could be some great fussy cutting in the larger designs.

This very website has several free pattern downloads designed by the designers at Makower UK to inspire you.

This fabric range should be arriving in shops now (January 2020), so don’t delay if you want some, I can see this selling out very quickly.  Spring definitely cheers you up when you’re using it on a dull Winters day.
