With the work on our second book by and about UK Quilters United well underway, it is time to come up with the name for it, and we are looking for your help!
The first book
Our first book was compiled and edited by Julie Passey in 2015-2016 and it was called “UK Quilters United by a common thread”. It had over one hundred letters from our members, each representing a region or city in the United Kingdom.
To find our more about the first book, including how to have a sneak peak for free, or get your own copy, please find details at the end of this post (after the T&C’s).
The second book
For our second book, we already have over twenty stories to share with you and another 5-10 on the way, making this at least the same length as the first book. The stories have been written by members in the United Kingdom and mainland Europe, as well as far away as the Azores. It promises to be another inspiring book with something for everyone; it even includes a quilting poem and a short novella. You’ll be able to read quilting related stories in the widest sense; some will make you smile, others may make you feel inspired or even shed a tear. They are all true stories written by our members and a great way to find out a little bit more about the quilters your meet on a regular basis on Facebook or here on the website.
Now for the fun part! Before we can publish the book, we need your suggestion for what the title should be. So far it has been known as ‘Book 2’, which, frankly, isn’t that exciting or inspiring…
To keep with the name of the first book, the book title must start with “UK Quilters United”, but what comes after that is up to you!
For this competition, any member of the website or our many Facebook groups can enter, including bloggers, admins, moderators, swap mummas, website managers and contributors to the book.
Click to submit your entry via the Google form here.
