The 2018 series of competitions were so popular

Grosvenor Shows have asked us to carry on

Throughout February we celebrated the RSPB, asking for quilts following a bird theme.  .  Traditional, modern, hand sewn, or something different.

We chose the top six most popular (those with the most likes,) and asked you to vote for our winner – see who won below…

The guys from Groves and from Gutermann donated a fabulous joint prize for this month .. worth over £120,  to be sent to the owner of the quilt that received the most votes here.

This months prize was quite a list of lovely notions and fabric: –

2 x Gutermann BLOOMS FQ

1 x Gutermann Thread Pack with Tape Measure

1 x FQ Bag

1 x Trimits Rotating Mat

1 x Sew Easy Hexagonal 9 Piece Template Set

1 x Sew Easy Patchwork Ruler 1.5×6.5”

The second prize winner and 2 voters win a pair of tickets to a Grosvenor Show of their choice.

The 2018/19 competition quilts will be on tour with Grosvenor Shows in the first Annual UKQU Website Exhibition from their Great Northern Quilt Show in Harrogate until the Springfield Show in December .. six shows in total where you can see all the lovely quilts from our competitions for yourself, plus a special appearance of the Gullivers series created by Judith Clark

Make sure you plan to visit the Great Northern Quilt Show at Harrogate 30 – 1 August

And that’s not all!    This year the lovely people at Janome have given us four — yes FOUR — of their latest model M100 QDC sewing machines to award as prizes, so each quarter we will be choosing one lucky winner at random from our website members.

Hi Maggie and thanks for the question. The text body of the competition above asks you to upload your competition entries to the UK Quilters United Facebook Group and the top six quilts liked by the members there will be uploaded to this page on 25th February for a further week of voting for the two top faves. If you have any further questions please ask away and we hope to see your entry.

Hi Margaret .. have you looked at the March and April competitions. The sooner the quilt entries appear in the FB Group the more likes you will attract. Hope we will see an entry from you.
