I cannot believe it is already February! I’m still on course with my New Years resolution to finish two UFO’s, one of these is nearly complete. I’ve begun a Christmas block of the month project which I always feel quite nervous about starting.

I’m back into the routine of squeezing sewing in late in the evenings after work, football practice and other activities that go on in my household, although Saturday afternoons seem to be a lovely quiet time which I am making the most of.

I find picking out fabrics for projects to be extremely terrifying, I have wondered if there are any ways or tricks other quilters use?  Walking into fabric shops can be quite overwhelming, I go with good intentions and a list but I come out with a few items from my list (if I’m lucky!) and other items I never knew I need!

Like most of you quilters I thoroughly enjoy a quilt show with a close friend of mine. As a family we juggle activities for our son between us and planning is essential. I’m looking forward to a few local shows and enjoying other people’s work.
