This is the thread to discuss the August 2019 book – How to make an American Quilt.
Hopefully most of you managed to get hold of it OK, even if it is a rather old book and not available on Kindle.

I am trying to pick a wide range of books, so some months may not be to your liking.
I have just downloaded the Linda Gillard book to my Kindle, thank you for the suggestion.
Have finished June book and really enjoyed it. The ladies of Afghanistan certainly have had a lot to contend with. The book in May wasn’t really my cup of tea, I did finish it, but won’t be reading any more from the series.

The dressmaker of Khair Khana by Gayle Lemmon. This is a book about sewing (rather than quilting) and about creating a brighter future even when it seems impossible. This is a true story about Kamila from Kabul.
Read the basement quilt and loved it I am now on the second one which I have nearly finished love how the bom seem to have followings that I have to read. Wish my quilts got finished off like theres
