My DH and I are members of a great Mercedesclub. There are about 65 members, and most of them own (at least) one beautiful Mercedes. Some of them are oldtimers, some rare, some of them have youngtimers or just plain modern Mercs.

But we all are very passionate about our cars. We have this club going now for about 3 years. In the meantime we became a strong group, and really care for eachother. We go on trips, we have technical meetings, New year meetings, and we go to see museums and factories…

That however is not all that blooms…. in our group we had a man with a beautiful old Merc… one of our younger men came to visit him to see the car. But his eye fell on the beatiful daughter too…

They fell in love.

And how appropiate it was, that he proposed to her in our midst…

The man in the white shirt is dad… you can see he’s happy too!

Within a year the marriage took place. Off course… we were there with as much cars as we could! And the weddingcar was dad’s car, off course…

About a year later we went to Stuttgart with the club to visit the most amazing Mercedesmuseum… we, as Merc-lovers, were all in 7th heaven… like kids in a candystore we made about gazillion pictures.

But those two had the best picture of all…

An ultrasound proove of their love…

And off course I wanted to make them a babyquilt. They loved the idea..

After a while we got this one on our forum:

And I started my work…

6 weeks early little Sophie arrived in November. I already had the blocks ready: all appliqued hearts, in all sorts of colors but all very sweet…

Last Sunday we had our New Yearsmeeting and I could offer this to mom and dad:

I free-motioned the names of mom, dad and Sophie on the top, along the sides there are grandpa’s and grandma’s names. Unfortunately moms’ mother is no longer alive. So she’s symbolised by a star:

And what else can you expect? At the bottom I made 4 Mercedes stars!

She is our first clubbaby…

I always make too much binding, but doesn’t that come in handy?

Mom and dad were over the moon with the result… And I am happy too…

I saved the sweetest pic for last… look at that sweety!

Don’t we all love a triple love story???
