It’s always lovely to get fabric sent in the post to test and being a London girl, I suppose it was appropriate that the fabric I received were these London Town Fat Quarters from the Craft Cotton Co.

These kind of designs aren’t really my cup of tea but, originating from London,  the motifs on the fabric did make me smile. I have to say that the quality of the fabric is amazing.  It is thick and wonderful to work with.  The design made me think instantly of travelling and holidays so I made a list of holiday themed makes to test out the fabric.

Now, for any holiday, travelling is involved and, if you are travelling a long distance in the car or on a long haul flight, a nap is always welcome.  Of course, we all appreciate a bit of dark for sleep, so what could be better than an eye mask.

With a covered elasticated band at the back, it is comfortable to wear and you can choose between the flowers or…..

….the road of London.  This eye mask will definitely raise a smile and be a talking point.  Of course, you want to keep your tickets and passport save so next on the list is a passport wallet.  Unfortunately, I’ve had more than my fair share of real life this week, so come back next week and I can show you the passport wallet.

What would you make with this fabric, I’d love to know.  I’ve got a couple more makes planned, so it will be interesting to see if we are thinking along the same lines.
