Mmm..Makower have come up trumps again with this super fun range of fabric called Dragonheart.
In 100% cotton the quality is great and is really lovely to work with.
This enchanting design with castles and knights in shining armour, yielding swords and shields, it is sure to please both boys and girls with the dragons and knights on horseback too.
The colours are very vibrant in orange, turquoise, green, yellow, blue and silver. The picture fabrics are story telling and the linea tonals are very colourful.
Having a young granddaughter, I am more than happy to review children’s fabrics, especially these.
She is very much into dinosaurs and I’m sure she will love the dragons too…so…what to make?
As she has numerous quilts, I decided on a place setting with pockets to store cutlery and napkin.
This was fun to make and quick too.
I held the colourful stripey back for the binding…I do love a stripey finish.
I chose a couple of the dragon pictures for the pockets.
I chose the linea plain orange for sides and used the scene picture for the centre…oh and I ran up a little square napkin to place in the pocket.
The pattern for the Pocketed Placemat is coming soon and will be available in my shop on https://ukqu.co.uk
If you are feeling more adventurous Makower have a free download for this enchanting quilt..
In summary these fabrics are a delight and are sure to be a hit with the kiddies.
