Just thought I’d scribble a quick update having attended my first main quiltshow since, well, a long time ago!!
It was so much fun to be back out there and teaching again, 6 workshops a day for 3 days -…-
I really enjoyed seeing them at the event. Superb.

What a lovely quilt. It’s amazing the thoughts that this raised in you, but at least they were all happy thoughts and memories. I’ve made a few memory / sentimental quilts recently but luckily I only knew one of the ‘late’ people and not that well, otherwise I think I would have been in floods of tears, as I shed a few tears making the quilts and I didn’t even know the person!
I think they are a lovely idea if it is what the recipient has asked for.-

Hi Lucy, the full details are in my latest blog post here on UKQU under the Mystery Quilt section.
It’s piecing with a lot of applique (and/or embroidery if you want) its approx. finished size including border is 48″x48″, it’s 40″x40″ without a border, but could always be made larger if you wanted to add to it.
