Thanks Pam! Having canvassed interest a year ago, it just seemed such a shame not to continue with a book club. I may be less skilled at leading any discussions, but the Forum is here if anyone would like to discuss the books.
Agree regarding the story; a bit predictable and over-simplistic, but still enjoyable.
With the work on our second book by and about UK Quilters United well underway, it is time to come up with the name for it, and we are looking for your help!
The first book

Great interview !! And this year, i can get to FOQ and can’t wait
Interesting ‘behind the scenes’ information, I was there at the beginning and most years after. So good to have our own F of Q’s in the UK.
Interesting to hear a bit about the work behind the scene. Looking forward to another great show!
Really interesting to hear what goes on behind the scenes.
Thankyou that was so interesting. Thankyou for sharing

I’m happy to help quilting, my Gracie frame is calling out for more use! So please add me to the list, I am very happy to help, especially for these young people who I think need more support than they often get!

My goodness, my old faithful, very ordinary basic machine, would be TOTALLY eclipsed by this amazing machine! Will need a lot of referring to the manual though methinks!!

For the first month of the re-launched UKQU Book Club, I have selected The Flower Hunter’s Cottage by Dee-ann Black.
It is a rather fast read with only 30,000 words and easy language. Notwithstanding this, i…
It is almost a year since I kicked off the UKQO Book Club with Tracy Chevalier’s The Runaway and arranged for us to work with British Patchwork and Quilting to announce the books. Arlene was kind enough to execute my…
I am a big audiobook fan because I can stitch whilst I listen so please can you choose some books that are available in audio format. Love being introduced to books I haven’t come across before and then see other people’s comments.
I know for sure that at least one of the books scheduled until September is available on Audible, but not so sure about the others. Almost all of them are available as print and ebook; and many of the ebooks have the ‘speech’ function enabled. A bit ‘mechanical’ but perhaps a possibility. The publishers of quilting novels seem to be smaller outlets so not prioritising audio (guessing it is still expensive to make).
Yes, the heading is correct, we are bringing the Book Club back from April 2019!!!
We’ll reveal the book for April in the next week or so try to finish your current book and be ready for the relaunch of our popular Book Club.
All good things come to an end, and this is the final competition of this series.
Don’t despair as we are working on new ideas to keep you on your toes.
A simply fabulous first prize! What lovely designs and colours Makower are launching in April! Isn’t it also great that Grosvenor Shows are again supporting these competitions. I would love to enter, but as one of the UKQU bloggers, I obviously can’t. I am really looking forward to seeing all the entries, and I can’t wait to see all the special quilts and the memories that mean so much to other quilters.
