The themes for my blogs this year have been stash busting and the UKQU bookclub, but recently I’ve been busy designing t-shirts for sale, yep, you read that correctly. A while back I was approved as a Merch by Amazon seller. This means I am able to design and sell t-shirts, sweaters, etc on Amazon (currently only UK, US and Germany). I’ve found it rather fun and surprisingly rewarding. Once I have come up with an idea, created the design and uploaded it, Amazon does the rest including printing and shipping.
A few of the designs
One of my early designs was a simple QUILTER long-sleeve t-shirt (also available as a sweater) and more recently I have become braver with Photoshop and designed a t-shirt inspired by our first book edited by Julie Passey.
Playing with common sayings and a ‘truth’, I created these three t-shirts with sewing inspired text.
I also have some matching t-shirts for granny and grandchild; all available in a wide range of colours
To see my quilting related range of t-shirts and the many colours available, please head over to Amazon and search for ‘Canny Quilters’ or use this link for direct access. Most of the designs are available for women, men and youth.
Feedback and ideas for future designs
I am still trying to figure out what sells and what doesn’t and I’d really appreciate feedback as well as ideas for new designs. Please leave a comment below or send me a private message via the website or Facebook and I’ll see what I can do (there’re lots of rules to comply with, including copyright!)
