I have the privilege of offering the Mystery Quilt BOM’s for the UKQU members……. we’re on our 6th!!
‘An English County Garden’ is the name of the Mystery Quilt BOM running at the moment, we’re half way through, but its never too late to join us?!!!
Its quite difficult for me to describe how fabulous the blocks completed so far are looking without giving away the mystery of the design……
Its a mixture of hand and machine techniques, some traditional, some not, some just ‘Abbiefied’!. If you don’t fancy the hand bits they can be appliquéd, there’s a way around everything!!
In the middle (ish!!) of most of the blocks is a focal design/picture, all with a reference to the classically imagined English garden……. they’re depicted using embroidery or appliqué or beading or drawing or fabric painting, but how you reproduce each ‘picture’ is totally up to you.
I’ve asked those taking part so far if they’re happy for me to show you a peek of just one of the blocks being completed…. we have a private help/support/show n tell group on Facebook where we ask questions and help each other out if needed……… this montage photo has been made up from some of the photos shared in the group…… we want to tempt you!!
I think most taking part have used the fabulous Tilda Fabrics, but its also been designed as one of my ‘Scrap n Stash’ quilts, so you’ll know you’ll love it as you can include all of your favorite fabrics!!
If you’re interested in joining us you’ll find the sign up/purchase in my shop here on UKQU, you’ll soon catch us all up! https://ukqu.co.uk/product-category/patterns-4/mystery-quilt-4/
You’ll also find the patterns for my previous Mystery BOM’s available if you fancy making having now seen what the mysteries are! All of my patterns come with full sized paper patterns with detailed instructions which always include colour photos throughout, to ensure your make is fabulous! (and you’ve always got me to ask questions from if needed) All of the following quilts have been successfully completed by all skill capabilities, so please do not be put off if they look complicated. Everything is doable if you just break it down into small pieces and believe in yourself……..
A Colourful Outlook on Life……
