I’m really pleased that my sewing mojo has returned!

I have not put down bits I have been working on, I’m hand sewing a redwork 12 days of Christmas quilt. This is a free 12 block quilt currently available from  niftyneedles.com

I’ve been working through my ufo list, this project is a kantha stag, I think I started him October 2016 but I finished him last week. I will be framing it for my sewing room, when the 11year old goes into the bigger bedroom. That’s a project for the summer holidays, along with his Bargello he keeps reminding me about.

My good friend and I enjoying learning new skills, in April we will be attended Emma Bradford’s Hawaiian quilt class. This is a class held at Rutland by swiftquilting.com, we have the requirements lists choosing fabrics is turning out to be a nightmare. I cannot decide whether to go red, purple or blue.

I’ve been very brave and attempted to free motion a couple of pieces from workshops. These are from Hannah’s room workshop from the summer. All free motion sewn, I need lots more practice it’s been something I’ve wanted to do for ages along with the parrs ruler I purchased last year. I will make myself a few hours in the Easter half term to play and practice with them. The lady demonstrating them on create and craft has inspired me to have another go.
