Description
As part of the Garden Flowers Blog Hop 2020 here is a gorgeous hexie flower
These Blog Hop 12″ square blocks can be used on their own making a beautiful flower quilt or together with the other Blog Hop blocks to make a fabulous garden flower quilt, encompassing many techniques.
Hexagons, or hexies are a traditional hand sewn quilt making method. Paper hexagons are placed on fabric, the edges turned over and then tacked, and then the hexagons are sewn together by hand. The paper is taken out at the end. This block uses a different method of appliqueing the hexies onto a background.
