A small wall-hanging or lap quilt measuring about 46 inches square. Two simple blocks create another pattern – whirling snowflakes(?) – and the blue prints add a wintery feel. A relatively easy pattern with step-by-step diagrams ideal for those wanting to progress beyond just squares. Rotary cutting and machine piecing (but no reason why you can’t hand piece if you wish). If you don’t feel particularly wintery or blue then the design works well in other colourways – see the gallery for a few ideas.
