The UKQU Book Club is back by popular demand!
Our book for March 2020 is For the Love of Quilts, the first in the relatively new series called Wine County Quilts written by Ann Hazelwood. The book is available in paper back as well as Kindle version.
Join Lily Rosenthal as she quits her editing job and moves to her beloved Wine Country. She’s an avid collector of antique quilts and manages to turn her love for quilts, with a bit of help of a murder, into a way of earning money and creating a new lifestyle. As in many of these murder history quilt stories, there is also a handsome man thrown in for good measure. Sit back and enjoy this easy read.
Discuss the book
I had set up a Group for the UKQU Book Club here on the website, but it hasn’t really turned into a great place to chat about the books we read. Instead, please join us in UKQU SOCIAL on Facebook (please don’t use the main group!) for discussions. Please use the hashtag #ukqubookclub, so we can all join in.
Further books by Hazelwood
If you like this book, Hazelwood has published two other books in the series – Lily Girl’s Christmas Quilt and Quilted Secrets. She has also written many other books, e.g. about the Colebridge Community (we read book 1 in May 2019), so if you like her style, you’re in for a treat.
Our previous books in the book club
If you’d like to see what we have read already, I have listed our previous books in – UKQU Book Club – the books so far. A few of the books are part of a series of books, so you may have quite a few hours (or weeks) of reading ahead of you if you haven’t read them already.
