Here’s how can you enter and win these fabulous competitions

Starting in June 2018, the UKQU Website are running six individual quilt competitions, each one based around a single theme.

Every month you will be asked to show off the quilts you are submitting on the UK Quilters United Facebook Group for people to vote on their favourites by liking them – but only for the first three weeks of the month.  at the end of the three weeks voting on Facebook will close and the top five quilts you like will be then removed to the competition page on our Website and voting will reopen for two quilts to be chosen to be exhibited at the Grosvenor Shows Autumn Circuit.  To enter you must be prepared to follow the competition rules here and to have your quilt on show too.   Details will be made available soon.

The top quilt voted for each month will win a prize from the competition sponsor for that month, each prize will be worth at least £100.

Each month one lucky voter will also win a pair of Grosvenor Show tickets that can be used at any of their shows.

The two top quilts will be shown at the Grosvenor Shows Autumn Shows in 2019, giving everyone the chance to go along and see them for real, not just on the Facebook Group or here on our website.

Every month the people who vote will be entered into the final website members draw to win the Janome 6700p Sewing Machine, donated by our main sponsor, Janome UK and worth £1600 ..  drawn on December 1st, 2018!

You have to be a member of the UK Quilters United Facebook Group AND the UKQU Website to enter both the quilting competitions and the prize draw.

Our normal terms and conditions will apply.

So, every month you can choose to enter as many quilts as you would like, and enter as many months as you would like, but you must follow each month’s theme.   Every month a new competition panel will appear in Competition Corner on the first of the month giving you full details of that months prize and how to enter, but to set the ball rolling here’s a list of the categories if you want to get started.     We know how long planning and making your perfectly wonderful quilts can take!

Each quilt should have each side no longer than 42 inches, but can be any pattern or technique,  as long it is your own work and must be an interpretation of that months theme.
