I have been sent this lovely collection to have a play with from the Craft Cotton Co.. 5 beautiful fat quarters, nice quality cotton, perfect for your little prince and princesses. The bundle is mainly suitable for girls and sadly I don’t have any granddaughters but I do have a friend who has a cute little 4 year old. I decided I wanted to make her a little handbag for all her treasures.
I pulled out the mainly red and pink fabric and spent a very enjoyable time on you tube looking at tutorials. I esp liked the ones I found on crazylittleprojects.com . Having watched quite a few I decided on my pattern and drew it out. It is a mixture of many I saw, but I did refer to crazylittleprojects when I got stuck in the construction.
A simple little bag using two of the fabrics, a special button found and a little Dalmatian button added too. I think my friends daughter will love it.
But what of my own grandsons? Whilst watching the tutorials on the internet I found tutorials for wallets too. So again having got the ideas I drafted my own pattern. Used the grey and white fabrics and created two wallets for my grandsons. I hope they like them.
This fabric is just lovely. Really nice designs and easy to used. It cuts easily and stitched like a dream. I’m sure this fabric is going to be a hit with sewers and children alike.
