Following on from my 11 Felt Chains blog.
On the twelve’s days of Christmas the sewer gave to me: 10 Button Baubles

You will need:
• Felt (optional)
• 10 Buttons (they do not have to match)
• Needle and matching thread for hand sewing
• Scissors
• Tape measure or ruler
• Hot Glue gun and glue sticks (optional)
• Embroidery thread or wool (if you do not have these do not panic)
These ornaments have been made very quickly and simply because I have also factored in not only time, but something you might want to make with children.
After selecting my buttons, I opted for all the same. I cut some embroidery thread into small lengths. If you do not have this you may have wool or crochet cotton. If you do not have these you can use sewing thread, the only difference will be in the thickness for hanging the bauble.

I used a glue gun for speed here as my hands were hurting. I glued the small strands of thread to the back of the button – well my daughter did as she was steadier then myself -. If you do not have a glue gun you can sew the thread in place through the holes.

We then used coloured glue and filled the front of the button up with a blob of glue. Again if you do not have a glue gun you could sew a piece of felt or another button in place.

Once they had cooled down I placed them on the tree.

I hope you enjoyed the baubles, and you will continue to follow the rest of the blogs for the other ornaments.
