Today my friend and I attended our local quilt show. It’s a lovely venue with lots of parking and there’s the craft outlet within the shopping outlet, which sells cotton fabric £7 a meter!
The show had amazing quilts on display, all very different. Some were fabulous free motion sewing with colouring added, beautiful landscapes and unusual unique quilts. There were elegant large quilts and luscious little quilts.

The shopping was great, very crowded but an amazing assortment of goodies for sale. I was very good and sort of stuck to my shopping list, just a few extra goodies! We did sign up to a beautiful block of the month quilt, which I’m impatient to start! I recommend a sewing enthusiast to attend but stay until the end as the stalls become quiet and it’s a pleasure to walk around and chat to the vendors.

We love learning new skills whilst at these events. There was a nice choice, we chose a printing and colouring workshop where we learnt how to use the inktense pencils we have stashed away. We also attended Hannah’s room lovely woodland scene workshop, it was very relaxed and great fun, I will be finishing that very soon.
If you are looking for something to do and can get to Spalding it’s still on tomorrow (Saturday 2nd June) – the Grosvenor Show‘s website has all the details
I’m looking forward to the first Christmas quilt show in December.
