After months of searching these have finally arrived at a reasonable price! My son has requested a rainbow Bargello quilt (this is a picture of my sons request, I have not made it). After months for searching for two Robert Kaufman rainbow jelly rolls an online shop kindly emailed when they had stock. At the moment I am just stroking them (I have a quilt I need to finish for a wedding present). I am considering waiting until the summer holidays at school to start this project so I continuously work on it. From what I’ve read this is not a project to do a bit and pack away. In truth I’m also petrified of cutting up the jelly rolls, so in my typical style I have purchased a small jelly roll to practice with! I find I like making a practice item before I dive into a big project which fabric has been especially sourced and in my budget is expensive.
I have recently made a postcard of a stork which is a mini practice for the Gail Lawther wall hangings which I purchased fabric for at FOQ last August. Does anyone else do this or am I alone?
I’m continuing with the block of the month project, I have appliquéd it, I need time to sew it. I’m planning my days in the school holidays so I can have a free sewing days! Thankfully the football season is coming to an end so I may gain some time to sew. I cannot be the only person who is busy doing chores just to try to fit in some sewing.

You aren’t aloneIf I see a pattern I like then I make a mini quilt too. Sometimes that is as far as it gets but occasionally I make something bigger, usually for Project Linus. Your Gail Lawther will be stunning if the mini is anything to go by!
