This is a wonderful project – following the same instructions you can make either a ball for a child or very pretty pincushion for your friend.

The ball is wonderful for children from very early age, as it’s made of segments and those can be easily grabbed by very small hands. If you use a string, you can attach the ball to the pram so that it doesn’t get lost as the child is playing with it. The attached instructions include a template, as it’s stated this already has he seam allowance, but if you’d prefer your ball to be bigger, just add seam allowance to your template and you’ll have two different sizes.

The pincushion is a wonderful way how to use up your little leftovers and looks really great if you fussy cut the top fabric using a floral or other pretty design.

To make either of these project download full instructions which contain lots of photographs guiding you through the process and the template.
