I do hope the many of you who downloaded the free templates for this hand sewing project have enjoyed making this gorgeous cushion – if you haven’t had a chance, you can grab your own copy here – and if you’re totally new to this project, my last blog includes links to all four parts of this curved EPP and hand quilting series of tutorials.
So I thought I’d finish off this series of blogs with a tutorial on how to finish off your cushion with a neat zippered back. This is my favourite method by far and works well for cushions with or without binding.
You will need 50cm x WOF of fabric and a 20″ zip.
As these blogs can’t cope with a lot of pictures, I have created a free PDF file in my shop which you can find and download here. Once downloaded onto your laptop or tablet you can easily follow along without having to print anything off.
I would love to see your finished Curved EPP Flower cushions, why not share them on UKQU’s Facebook Page, and tag me, Louisa Goult, so I don’t miss a thing!
Finally, if you would like to purchase this cushion as a kit, I have two versions available in the UKQU Sewmotion shop, the first comes in the pretty Red Rose as featured in the tutorials, while the second features this beautiful Liberty cotton print in soft blues. Click here to visit the shop.
Happy sewing everyone!
