Welcome to Week 2 of the Christmas 18 QAL and here is Block 1 ….
So today’s the day that cutting, and maybe sewing, begins. Block 1 of the cut&alter Christmas 18 QAL is released today and, if you have signed up, will be in your inbox shortly. We will be learning how to make 8 HSTs at a time which is such a useful technique to know. There’s still plenty of time to take part so if you do want to make the whole quilt and join in the fun of the QA, then head on over here to get the pattern. If you don’t have time for the quilt but fancy just making this block, then you can also purchase a pattern for Block 1 over here in my shop.

This week as part of the QAL people have been choosing their fabrics and there has been a mix between Christmas and non Christmas. This is a lovely traditional fabric pull from Amy for her quilt, whilst Lynne and Sharon go for a more modern twist ….
And for a seasonal look, but not full on Christmas, Susan has chosen these lovely fabrics in a range of blues and creams:

And one lady has decided to make two – both Christmas and non seasonal! Photos coming soon and I have to say she has the loveliest prop in one of them!
