One of my favourite events of the year is coming, I’ve been going to this show for the past eight years. The first few times I was overwhelmed by the quilts on display but now I look at them and work out how they have been made.
This is a local show to me, so convenient that I drop my son off to my parents three miles down the road. The workshops are very reasonably priced and there’s a great choice with examples on show on the booking table. The workshops are half the price of some of the other big shows, there isn’t the choice but they are still great fun.
The array of stalls is amazing, there’s all sorts of bits and pieces for sale. The choice of fabric, wadding and kits amazes me. These smaller shows allow you to have a really good look at items, chatty to stall holders and allows you time to have a go.
Please remember to support our local events, lots of people put a great deal of effort into these shows, if we don’t support them we will lose them.
