PAINTED FLOWER 2

I designed this PAINTED 3D FLOWER to give everyone a chance to do a form of Trapunto Quilting. There is a worksheet on  UKQU web site. IT IS FREE TO DOWN LOAD

Trapunto is a way of making your blocks appear 3D . You need to make up your blocks any block can be treated this way place  a piece of wadding /batting on the back and stitch around your design. Also do the inner designs at this time when complete, place you second piece of wadding/ batting and the backing fabric on and just stitch around the out edge of your design.  You then need to quilt a smaller design on the outer edge to make your block pop.  The workbook has a step to step instructions on how to do this and the video also helps you understand the steps.  Enjoy, show me what you achieve i would love to see them
