Vlieseline Quilt-A-Long 2024 -Wadding specialist and leading interlinings brand, Vlieseline, announces its annual Quilt-A-Long for 2024…and this year have an exciting twist! To mark the fourth year of Vlieseline Qulit-A-Long they are delighted to announce that Quilting Expert John Cole-Morgan is hosting a Mystery Quilt for their quilt along project.
The quilt for this year’s project can be created using Vlieseline Quilter’s Grid to construct a series of blocks that will come together to make a striking Mystery Quilt. The quilt is finished using the New 276 Natural Cotton White Wadding to finish the project.
While this project is designed as a Mystery Quilt – they will be sharing a preview with a Spoiler Alert – this makes the project accessible to those that love the supervise of a Mystery Project, but also also those that like to see everything ahead of time too! Over the seven weeks of the Quilt-A-Long project designer, John Cole-Morgan will guide you through the process of creating your quilt from start to finish.
The event is free to join and will be shared on the VlieselineFreudenbergUK Facebook page and the new videos for each of the week will be posted to the VlieselineUk YouTube Channel.
Alongside video demonstrations, participants are encouraged to join the quilting conversation over on the Vlieseline Creative Community Group. “This closed group is a safe space for makers to share their project, engage with other creative folks and get lots of tips and handy advice,” explains Laura Strutt for Vlieseline.
The Vlieseline Creative Community Group is part of the VlieselineFreudenbergUK Facebook page and anyone participating in this free event are invited to enter their quilts (completed and quilt tops) into the QAL Competition. The entries will be assessed on elements such as fabric composition, style, technique and unique features.
