For those of us who like things just right, with precisely accurate folds and sharp corners then this is for you. The clever people at Clover have developed a set of rulers that will enable you to create your makes with confidence and avoid sore fingers caused by the heat of a pressing iron.
Hot Hemmers are made from 100% nylon fibre board which holds position as the
iron and steam penetrate through the fabric and ruler, ensuring sharp crease lines
and total accuracy. The rulers are not damaged by the iron and don’t retain heat so
they can be handled instantly after each application of dry or steam iron pressing.
Hot Hemmer Ruler – The 10cm x 15cm ruler is ideal for measuring, marking, folding and
pressing seams and hems. It includes useful guidelines for mitred corners, a curve for
shaping and turning through pockets as well as 0.8cm markings for seams. RRP
£19.10 (CL7700). Also available is Hot Hemmer Long RRP £19.94 (CL7701) which is
particularly useful for turning hems on curtains and other large projects and for
curved hems on skirts.
Hot Hemmer Square –Designed with inch measurements, the Hot Hemmer Square is particularly suited to
making mitred corners and for lining up Dresden quilt wedges and geometric
patchwork projects. Size: 6×6 inches (15.24×15.24cm) RRP £23.25 approx. (CL7813).
Hot Ruler Large – Ideal for larger projects such as curtains, quilts and throws where there are long
seams, hems and mitred corners to contend with. This ruler is in imperial
measurements, size: 14×4 inches (10.16×35.6cm). RRP £35.15 approx. (CL7814).
These rulers are easily repositioned as you work your way along the seams and hems,
measuring, marking, folding and pressing as you go.
