Hello folks, I can’t believe I was asked to blog, someone might live to regret that.  I’m Chris,I live in North Yorkshire with the husband of nearly 30 years.  We have two grown up children who have flown the nest, so in 2017 we decided to move from East Yorkshire to Pickering, where we knew no one.  Thankfully the neighbours we have are nice!

I’ve been a crafter all my life, I think I was born a crafter.  I love fabric, and I never want to cut it up!  But at some point you have to put the effort in don’t you, or you won’t fit in your house if you keep buying fabric.  I have many UFO’s because my hands can’t keep up with what my brain wants to do.  I no sooner start a project, and then I see something else I want to do.

So 2018 needs to be different!  Now I’ve moved, I’ve had to move all of my craft stuff, and I’ve seen what I’ve got.  🙁  Yikes.

In my new house I’ve got a craft room to set up, and I’d love it if you will join me and help.  I have ideas, but I’m sure lots of you have ideas to help me too.  And I want to crack on with those UFO’s, and maybe get them finished or at least to a PHD!  And there will be the odd new start/project in there too

I’ll be starting my blog with pictures of projects I have started, and the space I have to get organised, so here’s hoping that 2018 is the best ever for my patchwork and quilting journey.

Chris

Love Pickering and Yorkshire generally! I feel better when I realise that other people have what I think of as the magpie approach to quilting – gets lots of lovely fabric together, start something that really appeals – but oh, look, that looks lovely, too, so I’ll have a go at that as well! Hopeless! 2018 has got to be my year to finish everything I’ve already started!

Good luck settling in and sorting out your craft room. We moved to a new area when we retired and had to build a small extension so I could have a craft room but I still have quite a lot of fabric stored in bedroom cupboards!
