PROJECT LINUS – STOCKTON ON TEES 8 years, 4 months ago “A quilt is a hug you can keep”
In January 2016 we started a sewing group -Sew4Linus – to make quilts and bonding hearts, specifically for our local hospital and community. We continue to grow an army of amazing volunteers from our own community as well as from across the country and in October 2017 we held a display of over 200 quilts. Amazing that in 2 years we have been able to donate 836 quilts.
I have just taken on the role of regional co-ordinator for North East & Cumbria for Project Linus and my aim is to create a sense of community among the wider groups of volunteers and hopefully encourage new sewers to areas that are currently struggling to have any quilts made for their local hospitals .
York Neonatal Unit is first on my list and I would love to hear from any groups or individuals in the surrounding area, that may be interested in helping me make a start.

When we come together to sew, something fabulous happens! ❤️
Many thanks
