Thank you Margaret. I gave my brother-in-law one and he carries it around all the time in case he might need to buy something extra from the shops so I’m pleased they are well recieved by both men and women. I shall be packing Xmas gifts in Morse bags for the family – with gender sensitivity. As you say, all we can do is try

I am sure many of you have heard about Morsbags; some of you will be already making them and some of you may have received them. As of the 27th of October 2019 there have been 350,987 Morsbags made which w…

Wow John! What a heartfelt message. The blog should be read by the many and not the few! I watched the programme and was amazed at the amount of work put in by you (and other crafters) in such a short space of time. I thought the price of £2,000 was realistic for a quilt as we so underestimate time, effort and cost of materials. How fab that…[Read more]

Hi Carol. That is a coincidence! Flannelette is a really good idea as it does need something to ‘cling’ to the pieces it is carrying. I tried to find some spare
fabric used for a hanging wall but couldn’t find it. A pocket in the outside is a really good idea as well. Thanks for sharing your ideas. -

Very neat. Would work very well for thimbles and other bits and pieces that clutter up sewing bags.

Thanks Theresa. The panic was horrendous after the event but once we had another plan for getting there we were fine. I will pass on your message to Stonny

150 meters of bunting! I think that was certainly a labour of love Margaret.ese things always seem a good idea at the time – until you are in the middle of doing them . Thank you.

Mr and Mrs chair covers.
This week I have been looking back over old photos and I found the ones I took of the things I made for my sons wedding and it made me think of the things we do for love. We have all…

Weddings are always emotional affairs, but that one certainly wins the prize. What lovely makes, too. A real labour if love. And to think I got fed up making 150m of bunting….

Wonderful story and what marvellous things you made. I can’t imagine the panic you must have been going through after that horrific crash! So pleased that all the important wedding things plus obviously you and your family survived the accident. That cake was a triumph! I love Stonny! xxx

Great tips. Just one addition.. if you want to drive to an eatery try Moseley village in Birmingham, near to the City centre, where there are some nice Indian restaurants and a few other choices of eateries to choose from. There is a car park in the middle of the village (not actually a village but residents like to call it that).

This is brilliant! Thank you for writing such a detailed ‘how to’ guide. Always wondered how this was done and will be trying it very soon. The quilts are quite amazing and thanks for sharing.

Food for thought! Even my husband carries a fold up bag now. You make a good point about the desirability, Ruth. It would be a shame if someone’s work were not appreciated, but all we can dois try!
