How lovely. I know from experience how cathartic this form of grieving can be for you and the recipients.

What a lovely quilt. It’s amazing the thoughts that this raised in you, but at least they were all happy thoughts and memories. I’ve made a few memory / sentimental quilts recently but luckily I only knew one of the ‘late’ people and not that well, otherwise I think I would have been in floods of tears, as I shed a few tears making the quilts and I didn’t even know the person!
I think they are a lovely idea if it is what the recipient has asked for.-

Celebrations blog hop

What a super idea! Though I am an avid user of all scrap textiles, this idea was eye-opening to me! Thank you!
-
Thank you – and sorry for the late reply. I also like using scrap textiles, although I’ve recently started to question my sanity in saving and collecting all the little pieces, snippets and thread ends. I’m starting to be a little more ruthless with what I keep and what I don’t – but only after holding on to it for a while!

Such fun block!!!

Thank you – and sorry for the late reply. I certainly had fun doing it, and it is always great when a project comes together in the way you envisaged it!

It’s a very American book. Uber American lol. The group of women are obviously diverse in order to provide a variety of stories. I’m not sure what the prevalent theme is; the quilts, the Bunco, the food, the stories, they all seem to get equal time. Bunco seems to be something like Yahtzee and they seem to be making mostly traditional quilts.
There were no murders or zombies, which was a shame.-
There’s a murder in the February book!!! If you can find any book with quilting AND zombies, please let me know and I’ll pick it!!!

You don’t need any special ruler, just one that is BIGGER than your finished block – so don’t use…

An admirable ideal for this jumbled year. I think mine should be “ finish”.
