These Blog Hop 12″ square blocks can be used on their own making a beautiful thistle quilt or together with the other Blog Hop blocks to make a fabulous garden flower quilt, encompassing many techniques.

Thistle are a purple flowering plant with prickles, of the family Asteraceae. Many are considered weeds but some are cultivated for their seeds and vegetable rennet, and are important honey plants for bees. A thistle is the floral emblem of Scotland, and Lorraine – a region of NE France, as well as the emblem of the Encyclopædia Britannica.
