Twelve page detailed guidance for drafting cable designs.

Includes grids of various sizes & Mastergrid.

Cable designs are a popular choice for quilting sashing and borders, whether you stitch by hand or machine. However, purchased stencils are rarely the correct size – so learn how to draft your own!

This pack of detailed set of step-by-step instructions explains how to draft a cable using Carolyn’s specially designed grid so that it will fit your quilt border perfectly.

Several possibilities for turning the corner in an integrated way are included.

The cable grid is supplied in a variety of common sizes ready for you to print out.

Also included in the pack is a computer file with the master grid, which can be adjusted to any other size if you have Microsoft Word on your computer. This enables you to draft cables of any length, width or style for your own projects.

The Drafting Cable Borders blog in the Hints & Tips section gives you ideas of the different types and styles that you could achieve, illustrated by examples from my antique quilt collection.
