Makower have come up with this delightful new range called ‘Walk in the Park’.

The colours are beautiful soft tones of turquoise/grey/orange/yellow.

I particularly like the park scenes…

The dogs are fun too…

And paws and bones…

Not forgetting some cute hearts…

So, what to make up? I wanted to include a piece of all the fabrics to display their beauty so came up with the idea of a dog lead.

Using  5″ squares join together to the length required…

Iron 5″ strips of Iron on Vylene (medium/heavy) onto wrong side of fabric, leaving 1″ both ends free of Vylene to reduce the bulk.

Fold in half lengthways, press, then fold both edges into the middle, press, then fold in half, press well and top stitch all round.

Make a loop one end and turn end under to neaten.

Thread the other end through the clasp and stitch down well.

Have fun and make a snazzy lead for your pooch and make a statement when you ‘walk in the park’.

I can thoroughly recommend these fabrics, especially if you are a doggie person, they are simply a fun design and  divine to work with.
