These ornaments have been made very quickly and simply because I have also factored in not only time, but something you might want to make with children.

I have chosen felt because it is quick and easy to use and it does not fray. The best thing about this project is you can use scraps of felt up. As a crafter of multiple mediums I never throw some things away. However, felt is not your only option; you could use vinyl or make fabric stars and use no fray glue on the edges

I have included two different styles of stars on the pattern template. I found cutting the stars out of the felt fiddly but I am not very good a free had drawing either.

I drew around the star template on to felt and cut out. Some pen marks have remained but I was not too worried, because this was made on the go and I will prefect it at a later date.

Once you have the stars cut out you can either leave plain or add your own fancy stitches. I chose to add a button and glued it in place. The buttons I chose had little stars on them as well.

I sewed the hanging loop on rather than glue. However, again the choice is yours.

My tree is beginning to fill up.

I hope you enjoyed the stars, and you will continue to follow the rest of the blogs for the other ornaments.
