If you want to catch up and find out what was needed for this bag, you can find all the details here. I’m happy to say that the changing bag is now complete so join me as I show you how it has turned out.

The changing bag is quite large, but very lightweight. With no internal pockets, there is plenty of room to pack everything needed for a day out, including the snack bag. As requested, the lining is waterproof and, for the sake of being practical, the bag is washable. The strap is removable and easily adjustable.

One of the main features of the bag is colour. The colour from the spots have been used throughout. We have red to line the top flaps, orange for the rings to attach the strap, and hidden flashes of colour for the pocket linings. Blue has been used for the end pocket and purple for lining the pockets on the front of the bag.

As there were no internal pockets, I thought it was important to have some on the front of the bag. I remember only too well how handy it was to just be able to tuck tissues in, or a drink as you are on the go. The elasticated tops help to make them a bit more secure.

The whole bag was built around one very special purpose. A special toy needed somewhere safe to stay on days out. Mum sent me his favourite Mr Tumble and he has own purpose built pocket. He has been secured with some stitches, but I’ve done it in such a way that they can easily be removed at a later date if needed.

There was some fabric leftover that I just couldn’t bear to go to waste. I made a little pillow to send as a little extra gift. Mum is delighted and I hope little man will love it when he receives it next month.
