A common problem when sewing fine fabrics or small pieces together is that your machine seems to want to ‘eat’ them. Here’s one way of overcoming that issue.

Simply place a small piece of paper under the fabric and start stitching. When you have finished, just tear the paper away!

1) Place a small piece of paper under the start of your seam
2) Start Stitching 
3) Complete your seam and remove from the machine 
Reverse view 
4) Tear away the paper
