A while back this lovely home crafted fairisle waistcoat took my eye in a local charity shop…do you see cats or swans?

I took it home, but it didn’t suit, so it hung in the wardrobe…until now.

I decided to make something from it…I removed the buttons and stitched the edges together. I then cut it up into a rectangle.I had stitched a double row all round to secure the knitted stitches. Machining a woolen garment was much easier than I anticipated.

I unpicked the button edge seam to turn it through and slid a cushion pad in, stitched it up and there we have a cute cushion.
