For a long time, I’ve wanted to do a triangle quilt so when the request went out to review some templates I was quick to volunteer.  I didn’t know what I was going to get but I was hopeful that there would be some triangles.

The post arrived and I opened the envelope.  Inside were two set of templates, one was triangles, but the packet said right angled triangles so I got a surprise when I opened up the packet.  Maybe I should have taken more notice when I read the press release which you can find here.

Watch the video as I open the packets and see what my first thoughts.

They are well made from solid plastic with a handy wire ring and wallet to store them in. Each template is marked with a 1/4″ seam allowance and has holes on each of the points to make it easier to mark them for sewing.

I think these templates will be especially useful for cutting pieces from small pieces of fabric. The smallest templates will allow for some really small pieces to be cut.

Once I’ve got my project designed and made, I’ll come back and share it with you and let you know what it was like using the templates in real life. As a triangle quilt has been on my list of things to do for a while, I can’t wait to get started.
