The lovely people at Patterntrace have launched a new, British made, product to make FPP (Foundation Paper Piecing) so much easier.

If you have ever struggled with fussy cutting, or just working out the most economic way of using fabric then this will really help you.

The paper is semi-transparent so you can easily see through it to place your fabrics. It feeds perfectly through inkjet and laser printers, plus it has a rough texture to ensure glue easily sticks to it.  Each pack has 100 sheets.

It is thin and easily tearable ensuring you have no problems tearing it off the back of your work when you have finished piecing. You can cut it with scissors. a rotary cutter or score it. It does not scorch or curl up from the heat of the iron nor does the heat transfer any of the ink onto your fabric. What more could you want from a foundation paper?

If you are new to foundation paper piecing there’s a beginner’s guide to foundation piecing right here.

There are some lovely free FPP patterns over on their blogs too and the paper is available to purchase, along with lots of other useful stuff.
