I was lucky enough to be sent a F8th bundle from Groves of these gorgeous new fabrics, they have been giving me all the summer vibes with the rich and vibrant colours, they feel amazing and were a joy to work with.

This collection is available in precuts as well as by the metre from most places, so if you’re undecided you could buy a charm pack to see the whole collection and help you decide which ones you need to buy more of, trust me you’re definitely going to want more! Here is a closer a look at some of my favourite prints in the collection:

Sea Anemone in Blue

Scallop Shells in Teal

Ocean Flower in Blue

If you’re not sure what you want to do with them the Tilda website has some fabulous patterns and ideas for inspiration, many of which are free – my personal favourite is Swim Team, it’s just so cute!

I knew exactly what I was going to do with these beauties, make more Posh Penelope blocks for my Posh Penelope Tilda Quilt, my aim is to include as many different Tilda fabrics as possible for the main sections and mix in low volumes for the backgrounds.

I absolutely love the colours in the Cotton Beach collection, they not only work beautifully together but also work beautifully with other Tilda collections, such as Gardenlife.

As I said in the beginning these fabrics are a joy to work with, being 100% cotton they handle well without fraying and feed through the sewing machine with ease, I love the blocks I made and am looking forward to making a few more.
