Many years ago I organised a sew day for our W.I. group. I arranged a room in our local pub and organised a pub lunch. About 15 ladies turned up and we had great fun making these lovely boxes…and of course enjoyed the delicious lunch. Everyone finished their gorgeous boxes to take home that day.
Aren’t they just beautiful?

Fast forward a few years and am still making boxes, these are a couple of my birdie boxes to hold a box of tissues…

These patterns can be found on ukqu.co.uk
They are great fun to make, the hardest part is deciding which of your favourite fabrics to use.

My latest box is hexagonal, these are gorgeous when made up in your ‘special’ fabrics.

As I write this blog, I messaged the W.I. girls and they seem keen to do another workshop..so..watch this space!

I am not in the WI but would love to attend one of these workshops. They look amazing especially with the Folded flower pulls and butterfly bows.
