What a beautiful selection of fabrics in this lovely range by Makower UK, Dragonheart. Sure to be a success.
The images on the fabric are so appealing. The quality of the fabric and the vibrancy of the colours have to be seen. I knew as soon as I saw the dragons, little knights and the fairytale castles, my grandsons would love something made from it.
My two grandsons aged 3 and 5 are really keen on board games at the moment so I decided to make them a simple game of draughts with pieces. Simple and easy to make and hopefully a lot of fun to be had.
I chose the brightly contrasting colours for the board from the patterned and plain ‘all over ‘ range.
Simply stitching them together and backing. Binding with some contrasting colours from the range
The little dragons and knights I thought would make perfect counters.
A quick make, a pleasure using the lovely fabric from Makower, and hopefully a treasure for years to come.
Before it was packed up to be sent off , guess who challenged me to a game. Mmmmm now I wonder who might win.

Yes I am hoping they will. I have since made two little pouches to keep the counters in from the remaining fabric. Will post photos when they play with it.
