Any 2 colours that go together for you, many different materials and designs within the colour ways. I would be collecting fat quarters and half meters of any that I really loved! KEA sell rolls of sugar paper, which I should imagine are usually used for children to draw all over, they are very long and very reasonably priced!
Ruby’s & Cream will work in any 2 colours that contrast and are quite different from each other……the background blocks will be dark and applique cream…….. -

Hi Sarah, yes, there’s a requirements list for the Mystery BOM. 12 different fabrics, with a guideline to colouring that cross to the colours I’ve used, but obviously you can do a completely different mix.
Each monthly pattern has a ‘Key’ to indcate which of your fabrics to use where instead of my choice.

It’s all too easy to pick up a pattern with no thought to the hours spent designing, creating and perfecting, we just see a design we’d like to copy. But I’ve often heard at quilt shows “ get it, i’ll copy it when we get home”.
