Having just moved house and had to give away a lot of unused stationery, I think I could say I was a stationery addict too. I’ve recorded most of the things I have ever made for sale (patterns, making instructions, time taken, materials used, costs), but your blog has made me realise that there is so much more I could be doing with quilting…[Read more]

I’ve only fairly recently classified my tools in a similar way (cutting, measuring, writing, etc), and it has been brilliant for making it both easy to put away and to find again. Some other great ideas in your post that I will probably try out too. Thanks for this blog.

Lovely to hear more about you, and thanks for linking to my blog post. Crafting and being creative really is a great relaxation and a lovely counter to the formality (and often stress) of the working day.

I love how you have applied the Letting Go strategy to quilting aliens and UFOs. Its a nice easy step by step process, that I think it worth a try on my own stash.

Amazing designer and artist, and one I’d never heard of before. Thank you for introducing her to us, and so glad her designs will be being produced again.

Pattern: Beth Ferrier – “A Fine Romance”
Pattern: Esther Aliu, “On My Window Flowers Bloom”Confession time. I now have four applique projects on the go (plus one that is sewn but needs hand quilting)…

Very interesting Corinne – I’m definitely going to give your method a try!

I’ve not seen this method before. I’ve seen where you turn the edge over the paper, and then struggle to release the paper after sewing the applique down. I shall be giving this method a try. Thanks

Very neat and tidy. I will definitely be giving this a go. Thanks Corinne.

I would never have thought to use old metal measuring tapes for squeezy top closures. This is a great idea that I look forward to trying.

Nice project – using those small squares and just appliqueing them down with the quilting really does make it quick and easy, and very effective.

That is definitely something I impress on my newbie quilting learners – there is far more likelihood of you cutting yourself with a swipe of a cutter being waved around in the air than of cutting yourself when the cutter is on the fabric – my instructions are always to close the cutter before (or just as you are) lifting it off the fabric, and…[Read more]
