That is just so lovely. My grandmother brought one back from Saskatchewan where she had lived with her uncle around the start of WW1! I would love own that!

So pretty! They would look gorgeous as log cabin block square centres, picking up the key shades from the embroidery in fabrics, too.

Well done you! You learned it all in your own way and I applaud that. Having a teacher has great advantages, yes, but trial and error does too! For a start, it never teaches you not to try, and what you learn, you know from experience not from hearsay.
