Late to the party as ever but I thought I would show you how I make these pretty decorations.
Requirements list
Two fat quarters (you can make two out of this)
A three inch cardboard or template…

-
Just made a couple of these and managed to get one decoration out of two pieces from a layer cake. The inside of a roll of sellotape was just the correct size for drawing the circles

Hello Patch workers I am taking a break from the City and Guilds blogs for this one as we went on a little camping break last week. This blog is to present another idea for sewing on the move. Like many mums I spend…

I’ve done a lot of EPP on the go, but I never thought about using fabric as a base for foundation piecing on the go. Will give it a try as it opens out the possibilities a whole lot more.

I have fairly recently finished a City and Guilds level 3 in Patchwork and Quilting. I will not bore you with all the modules leading up to this but in this four part blog I will talk you through the four…

Interesting read. I have done various C & G courses (but not this one), and thoroughly enjoyed them. I had heard of this distance learning course (I live in Spain – nothing like that here) and wondered if it was for me…. I think you are right though, when you said you needed people to bounce ideas off – makes the process a lot more exciting. Well done on completing the course. Thank you for sharing your experience.

Thank you Sue

That is amazing, thank you for going to the trouble of talking us through the process, it is fascinating and the finished piece is breathtaking Mary 🙂

Hi I am Mary from Patchwork Dreamer, welcome to my less than tidy Patchwork life. This month I have been making fabric boxes to put fat quarters in. They are four layers so my fat quarters will be kept very…

These are lovely Mary. Not sure if my FMQ would be as perfect as yours, but I am sure straight lines would hold it in place just as well. Look forward to seeing the quilt stand – we were talking about these at our sewing group just this last weekend. x

Now I love my leather thimbles, like shoes they come to the shape of your finger over time. Often forget I am wearing them and have been know to go on school run still wearing them!
